Your face is the most obvious
asset that you can flaunt. In fact, it is
the way you look that determines the kind
of opinion people form about you. Especially,
if you don’t want to be just another
face in the crowd and at the same time gel
perfectly in the environment then the right
amount of makeup can do wonders. Therefore
it becomes very important to use proper makeup
for your face, as your future relationships
might even depend on it.
Follow some simple rules and you can become
fashionable and trendy in a matter of seconds.

Light
for day and Dark for night
: Do not get carried away by various
advertisements. Use very light makeup
for the day. Try and avoid foundation.
If it has to be applied then take care,
for it has to be light and not very
generously applied as it may run down
with your sweat or the rains. The foundation
is to give you skin an even texture.
Light makeup or a neat clean and natural
look is the fashion-funda for today.
Layers of visible makeup can be a major
put-off. Nights call for a little shimmer
and shine. Therefore a slightly heavier
base can be applied so as to blend in
with the other makeup like blush, lipstick
and eye makeup. A concealer stick can
also be used to hide the acne scars
or under eye shadows. |

Heavy
Eyes : Yes, the heavy-kohled-eye-look
or the famous Meena Kumari look is very
much in. Apply lots of kohl or kajal
or eye-liner and mascara to accentuate
your eyes and for that dreamy appearance.
For the eye shadow, you can apply white
or a lighter shade below the eyebrow
and darker shades on the eyelid and
a still darker shade on the outer rim
of the eyelid. Blend it in properly.
Be bold and try out colours like hues
of green and blue. This will give a highlighting
effect and add a little drama to your
look. You can also use your lipstick
to give a little shine and shimmer to
the eyes. Powder eye shadows are out.
Also, do not forget to stretch out the
eye-liner upwards at the rim of the
eyes.
Since we have the monsoon heavily pouring
in, waterproof mascara becomes a must.
For the thin eye lashes, apply voluptuous
mascara. If you have short lashes go
in for lengthening mascara and if you
wear contacts go in for gentle mascara.
Go in for false eye-lashes if you have
light lashes. They are very easy to
use and easily available too.
If you choose black mascara that would
be best as it goes well on all Indian
skin tones, but if you choose to be
different with black or blue mascara,
do not forget to apply the same colour
eyeliner too. |
